BS has been honored by having a breeding approved between Bullet and Flight Angel – a mare we have admired most ardently. We hope this colt will excel as both his parents have done and spent a long, happy and successful life at the stables.

The phone rang in the BS main office for a good two minutes before Kalib was able to tear himself away from the holiday celebrations in the main hall.
He was thoroughly drunk - much to Lucie's displeasure - and stumbled his way along the hallways, holding onto lengths of tinsel and accidentally pulling down fairylights as he went.
The office was the least festive of the entire Beaumont Manor, with only a very small decretive synthetic Christmas tree on the desk. Kalib bumbled in, and took a deep breath before leaning down to pick up the phone. He glanced at the caller ID as he did and immediately he straightened up as he saw that the call was coming from Sunstar Stables, the racing yard where Flight Angel was kept. The glorious golden mare had been brought to BS one wonderful day and was covered by Bullet, and it was obvious that either something disastrous had happened... or she was foaling!
Another breath. He paused, tensed, undecided as to whether to pick up now... or check the dates.
He chose the latter. The calender pages were flying as he pulled back to when Angel was covered, and saw that it was late January - which meant that the 11 month gestation must be coming to a close. He vaguely remembered a few updates on ultrasounds, but he had had such a busy year that anything not immediately important had been pushed aside.
Nevertheless, he lunged for the phone and cleared his throat, trying to push the alcohol out of his blood stream.
"Hello, Beaumont Stables."
"Kalib!" A man on the other end trilled, half out of breath. "It's Angel, she's foaled! A groom found her with the little guy-" Kalib registered nothing but the 'he'. Bullet had another son! -"lying next to her, being cleaned off and trying to stand. He's just spectacular! He's trying to stand at the moment, he's got quite an audience too!" There was the shuffling of a group and murmurs and then a light laugh. "He's trying to stand." The man chuckled, and paused again. Another bout of soft laughter.
"He's healthy then?"
"Perfectly. The vet gave him a very quick check when we found him, but Angel's been left alone to take care of him since."
Alone? How is she 'alone' when there's a goddamn crowd outside her stall? Kalib asked himself irritably.
"So, describe him. What's he like?"
"Bright, coppery bay - but I think there are some gold dapples! Can't be sure with the light though... He's got some Sabino; four white legs; big diamond star and part of a stripe - then a thin race down the side. Bright blue eyes; pale hooves; just generally quite handsome for a newborn!"
Kalib nodded in silence. "Keep me updated." He said quietly, hearing jeering from the ballroom again and wishing he was in there, despite the wonderful news of a new BS foal.
"I'll get a picture ASAP. I'll call back in a few hours." He paused as though he was finished, but suddenly blurted out a few more words: "Oh, and Merry Christmas!"

Projected Height : 16.1hh (165cm / 65 inch)
Projected Adult Weight : 1,200 lbs
Phenotype : Copper Buckskin Splash. An extremely bright, vibrant buckskin base, paler about his shoulders, quarters, upper neck and cheek, with almost red patches around his legs and head, merging into a deep, red-brown where his points begin and most of his face. Pale, golden white dapples are easily seen on his quarters, fading towards his front half and give him a bright, shiny appearance.
Markings : A big diamon star, just like his Mom's that goes down into an even, vertical stripe, to just past half way down his head, then stops abrutly. It then trails off into Bullet's family's siginature race, down the side of his face, fading to a tiny line of white, and then down towards his bottom lip, behind his mouth. His bottom lip is pink from the marking, and so is the bottom of his topl ip, with a smooth dent in teh center. He has two long socks, with what appears to be Sabino patterning at the top, reaching up to the inside of his leg. A short stocking on his NF, extending up the back with Sabino patterning. A longer, fuller on the inside, stocking on his OF, tapering up dramatically at the back, also with similar mock-Sabino patterning.

Physical Appearance : Tall, gangly and very lithe. He appears much like any normal Thoroughbred: long legs, small, compact body, long, straight head and small ears. He has big, bright eyes and a high-set tail, small, dainty hooves and big joints. We believe he will look much like his mother when he grows up and hope he will use this long, light and swift body to aid him on the track.

Temperament : Considering who his parents are, we'd anticipated a confident, fearless colt with lots of bold attributes and a strong disposition. How wrong we were. Although, don't get me wrong, we adore how he has turned out! He spends most of the time hugging Angel's side, unlike most colts his age, and needs plenty of encouragement to try anything new, but when he feels safe and happy, his real colors shine! He is just like a little golden bullet when they're galloping across the field together! We expect him to peak later, rather than earlier in his career, but that shouldn't be a problem with his personality the way it is. Shae will probably need a traveling companion/stablemate to go with him everywhere due to his tendency to be herdbound and his need for constant, close companionship. We imagine that he'll be a "one-person horse" so we will work hard to match him with an appropriate rider - we expect this will be Richey, but we may end up bringing in a new, younger rider to grow with him and form the kind of bond he really needs.
