BS George -- FOR SALE

Description

Is currently for sale with his brother BS Lennie -- FOR SALE by Baringa-of-the-Wind
Selling some horses! Please check them out!So Kalib has worked it over and concluded that a few of Beaumont Stable's horses aren't getting the right attention and it's no longer fair to keep them just hanging about and not being worked properly. It's not fair on them to sit out in the field for so long.
To buy, please draw a picture, the more detail the more likely you are to get them, and do a small bit of text about what you plan to do with them. You need to be planning to really draw the horse cause me not drawing them is the reason for the sale.
You need to be an active stable (but not necessarily HARPG).
I reserve the right to decline your offer if I don't think you'll be suitable. I'm selling these horses because I don't give them enough attention; I won't let someone have them if I think they will just sit about again.
Beaumont's Robin Redrock "Robin"

7yo chestnut Thoroughbred mare. Trained in flat racing, very lovely mare and has thrown

Registered Name: :bulletblue: Beaumont’s King George :bulletblue:
Stable Name: George; Georgy
Age: 8
Date of Birth: Early April
Gender: Gelding
Breed: American Mustang x AQH x Draft Type

Bloodlines: Foundation

Height : 15.1hh (155cm / 61 inch)
Estimated Weight : 1150lbs
Phenotype : A standard chestnut; darker legs; paler barrel
Markings : Near front sock; two hind socks -- near hind has stripes of dark colored hoof.
Scar(s): :iconbeaumontstables: freeze-brand on near hind-quarter; various scratches from the field.
Eyes: Dark Brown
Genotype: | Aa/ee | »» | AtAa | ee | NnNn |
Physical Appearance:
Adult: Looking back at the picture we took when he arrived, the last thing we’d describe him as is ‘leanly built’. He is a strong, prominent build with muscular shoulders, neck and hind-quarters and long legs with big joints and large, solid hooves. His whole build is that of a heavy-set AQH, and just looks like a cross from one purebred parent – yet this seems even more strange when you set him up next to Lennie, who, at 16.0hh, is several inches taller than his twin brother and they really can’t look any more different.
George’s head is short, refined, with a straight profile and large, bright eyes. He has a thick wad of soft, slightly wavy mane and an equally textured tail.
In general, he looks well put together, but his confirmation, when scrutinized, leaves a lot to be desired, and his obvious accidental heritage has withdrawn any real competing prospect from him.
Foal: Very leanly built, giving him the look of a young AQH (which we think he has a lot of blood from) He has a fine head attached to a thin, slightly ewe, neck that is set high up on prominent withers. A short back, long, strong limbs with sturdy joints. Overall he appears very balanced and agile.

:bulletred: Striped hooves (20%)
Temperament:
Adult: Well, even though he’s come out of his shell, George has retained that protective attitude, he’s so cute around Kimber, always has his head down at her shoulder level; slow, careful paces; watching his hooves, it’s adorable!
George, after being separated from Lennie, has turned into a sweet, lovable, dependable and overall big-brother type horse. He’s big, and knows it, and is very careful in his stall and around people, as though he’s always terrified to bump into something or hurt someone by accident – which is one reason why even Lucie let’s Kimber go into his stall and ride him without supervision.
Foal: George is a little fighter, and has such a strength and resilience we often wonder whether Lennie really is his brother. He takes care of Lennie who is not only larger, but far more timid than he is, without even seeming to want to leave Lennie’s side. Although they do have the occasional spat when George will squeak and kick out, although they forgive each other within about ten seconds. George is very sweet, but extremely cautious and has his ears flat back as soon as he hears footsteps, he has very little trust in people, and we doubt he’ll ever be much of a competitor if we can’t break this fear of humans.

Known Ailments: He had a small bout of colic when he was a yearling which gave us a shock. He also has weak tendons in his forelegs, and goes lame almost every month – especially in the summer, on hard ground – but we counter this with careful riding and a lot of TLC.
Hooves: Unshod

Discipline(s): Simple English and Western pleasure riding, and we have him doing some Gymkhana things with Kimber, who adores him almost as much as she does Jimmy – it’s probably something to do with him being so utterly chilled out.
He also does a little jumping, but we haven't competed him, and he doesn’t have the soundest bone-structure, so we won’t strain his tendons e.t.c.
(At time of reference)
Ideal Workout Timing: 1h
Training Intensity: Minimal
Ideal Jump Height: 0.7m
Max Jump Height: 1.3m

(Riding notes)
General Riding Style: Very easy-going and relaxed
Jumping Style: Hesitant; cautious
Galloping Style: Head-locked and fast
Kind of Rider Needed: Careful; trusting; able to take charge
Notes from Handlers:
Kimber: “Gotta love George. He's a bit of a boring ride but very sweet. You can always trust him to take care of you.”
Strengths: Being easy to ride and looking after his riders.

History:
Original: There is extremely little known about where these two really came from. What was recorded was that they were picked up from a beaten-down ranch somewhere in the middle of nowhere, dehydrated, malnourished and traumatized. They were taken back to Riverside and fed up, and named after the characters in Steinbeck’s ‘Of Mice and Men’ due to the size of one of them and the contrast between them. Nevertheless, Josh did a bit of thinking, and so have we, and we both believe that these two foals by no means born to a tame mare or anything similar, it was just the wild look in their eyes that told you that they were born wild. They were probably born to a Mustang (crossed bred with other horses) mare somewhere that either couldn’t cope with twins and died, or had them taken from her, and the idiot who took the foals realized they couldn’t tame/look after them appropriately so called Riverside, left a note and fled. It was soon after that they they were taken to a home to be adopted, but were turned away since they ’weren’t what was expected’. Kalib took them on when he heard their story during the drop-off of the other Riverside foals.
Current: The transition from wherever he’d been living to Beaumont came as more than a shock to George, and he hardly let us come near him for a few months, but once John was on his good side, he started to let everyone in, and all started going well.
However, Lennie – being Lennie – was so goddamn attached to him, and George was starting to get visibly frustrated, and one day, we were all woken by the squealing and neighing when they were six months old and found Lennie near beaten to a pulp in the corner of their stall. It seems Lennie did something to annoy his twin and George lost his temper. We immediately separated them, but kept them in adjacent stalls, and they’ve been getting on well again since then.
After the twins were separated, George’s personality came out and we broke him in and trained him and he’s been doing famously – and loves getting up in the morning to obediently trot beside Lennie as he treks across the yard with his little hay sledge.
